The Nintendo Game Boy has been inducted into the National Toy Hall of Fame, beating out other toys like the Hot Wheels cars and the Cabbage Patch Kids (eeww). Nintendo's handheld was cited for becoming synonymous with portable gaming fun over the last two decades, and is the second videogame system to be inducted, the first one being the Atari 2600 in 2007.

This news just made my day...and LOL, that pic on the National Toy Hall of Fame includes a Limited Edition Pokemon Game Boy, which I have.
