Looks like there will be a new entry into the console market, if these developers will have their way. Ouya is proposed to be a $99 Android game console that you can connect to a TV, and the project is being helmed by people like Ed Fries and Muffi Ghadial, who both worked on projects like the Xbox and Amazon's Kindle. The console itself is being deisgned by Yves Behar, who was also the designer for the One Laptop Per Child project.
Ouya also comes with a high-concept developer ecosystem--the underlying hardware is specified as "built to be hacked", and every customer who buys a retail box will get a free dev kit, ensuring that any developer will be able to publish games. More details should be available soon.
